C.H. Hanson Joins Forces with Soldiers’ Angels to Share a Sweet Thank-You with Our Troops
In a heartwarming show of community spirit, C.H. Hanson recently partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to collect 1,340 pounds of Halloween candy, all of which is now on its way to active-duty military personnel and veterans through the Treats for Troops program.
Sweet Support from the Community:
What began as a simple idea turned into a powerful outpouring of generosity. Employees, customers, and local residents rallied around C.H. Hanson’s collection initiative, filling boxes, and bags with leftover Halloween candy. The result? A massive donation that would bring a taste of home to service members deployed far from their loved ones.
Why It Matters:
Soldiers’ Angels is a national nonprofit that, among many other things, organizes the Treats for Troops campaign, an effort to gather excess Halloween candy and send it to deployed troops, as well as to veterans in VA hospitals. The program helps bridge the gap between home and the front lines, giving service members a small but meaningful reminder of community and care.
A Heartfelt Thank You:
The most powerful part of this campaign wasn’t the final number, it was watching a community show up. Box by box, bag by bag, our collection grew into 1,340 pounds of generosity. Each donation came with its own story: kids donating half their Halloween haul, employees stopping by with surprises, neighbors making extra trips just to contribute. Together, we created something meaningful. Through Soldiers’ Angels, these treats will travel far beyond our local community, reminding deployed troops that the support from home is strong, steady, and full of gratitude.
A special thank you also goes to Soldiers’ Angels, whose tireless work makes this kind of mission possible. Their Treats for Troops program are more than just a candy drive, it’s a meaningful way to connect with and support those who sacrifice so much for our country.
Food for Thought:
Candy might be small, but the impact is huge. Through this partnership, we here at C.H. Hanson and the community have sent more than just treats, we’ve sent gratitude, care, and a sweet reminder that someone back home is thinking of our service members.
