Customer Service Representative

DEPARTMENT: Customer Service

REPORTS TO: CSR Manager

Delivers exceptional customer service by providing accurate product and service information for industrial and retail brands (e.g., Palmgren, Superior Tool, C.H. Hanson). Responds to inbound queue calls, assists customers in identifying effective solutions, and provides timely updates on product availability and shipment status.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicating with customers through various channels – phone, email, website chat function and mobile phone text line
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Enter and maintain all customer orders received daily
  • Process outgoing EDI documents – Purchase Order Acknowledgment, ASN and Invoice
  • Authorizes RGA’s and credits as needed
  • Quotes products and services
  • Supports sales teams as needed
  • Grow house accounts – i.e. informing customers of additional or new product and cross sell out of stock items
  • Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a customer’s questions
  • Troubleshooting common issues with a product
  • Responding to reviews on our customer’s websites
  • Keeps records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as the action taken – take ownership/accountability of your interactions/transactions
  • Resolves product or customer problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem to delight the customer (should have the ability to relay information accurately if more assistance internally is required to solve customer related issues) and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks – actively promote cohesion and teamwork with other members of the company
  • Regular predictable attendance
  • Demonstrates adaptability and openness to adopting new technologies, including AI-driven tools and digital communication platforms, as the company evolves.

Monday - Friday, hybrid schedule (combination of on-site and remote work)

Standard business hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexibility may be required based on business needs

Salary range: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 annually based on experience and qualifications

Assistant Warehouse Manager

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

Assist the Warehouse Manager in the overall operations of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and direct supervision of warehouse staff.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Meeting performance metrics including timely receiving, on-time shipment, customer order accuracy, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Directly manage LTL, Parcel and Receiving Team Leads.
  • Recruit, orient and train staff on both warehouse procedures, software, and safety protocols.
  • Provide staff development and feedback including performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Planning and scheduling staff to meet customer demands
  • Ensure successful order completion from allocation, picking, packing and shipment; managing orders when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by overseeing physical counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintain written operating procedures and Sage X3 training documentation including customer specific shipping and labelling requirements
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to direct the operations of the warehouse
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of warehouse improvement and optimization projects.
  • Enforce company procedures, rules and regulations
  • Regular predictable attendance

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of warehouse leadership experience (lead/supervisor or above) in a high‑volume distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations including common SOPs, safety, carrier compliance, and forklift certification.
  • Proficiency with ERP Systems (preferably Sage X3), EDI (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar), Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and follow‑through; able to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; able to coach and collaborate across all levels.
  • Ability to work extended hours during occasional peak periods.
  • Bi‑lingual English/Spanish Desired.
